Pedals of Faith: Embracing Life's Challenges

This book is about a passion for cycling woven into my walk of faith — a journey of movement, endurance, and trust in God with every mile. It’s about how the bike became more than sport; it became prayer, therapy, and sometimes survival. Each ride mirrors life itself — the climbs that burn your lungs, the descents that remind you to let go, and the long, quiet miles where God speaks the loudest. This is a story of learning to keep pedaling when the road hurts, when direction is unclear, and when faith is the only fuel left in the tank.

The Journey, Reflected

Faith. Waiting. Becoming

“I had lived my whole life in motion—chasing goals, building momentum, feeding the engine inside me that only knew forward. Without movement, I didn’t just feel unemployed. I felt unanchored. Failure at least comes with effort. Feeling lost comes with shame. And in that quiet season, stripped of titles and direction, I was forced to face a question I had avoided for years: who am I when everything stops?”

Chapter 1 - The Break

“God didn’t answer my prayers with ease — He answered them with effort. The mountain wasn’t meant to break me but to reveal the strength He built in the stillness. When I looked back, I realized the victory wasn’t in achievements or milestones… it was in who I was becoming. The climb was never about the summit — it was about loving the process, the grind, the rise.”

Chapter 8 - The Climb

“The door didn’t open because I pushed it. It opened because I learned to wait beside it in faith. Every delay sharpened me. Every rejection humbled me. Every quiet stretch strengthened my dependence on God. When He opens a door, it’s never just a new role or a new chapter — it’s a new heart ready to receive it.”

Chapter 5 - The Door Opens

“I didn’t get a map; I got a lamp — enough light for the next step. The desert didn’t vanish, but it lost its power to define me. Waiting became formation. Surrender became strength. And as doors opened slowly, I realized God was doing a deeper work long before anything changed on the outside. Faith wasn’t about knowing the way forward — it was about trusting the One who was walking with me.”
